Residential Propane Service From Irish Propane. A Story Of Value

Residential propane service from Irish Propane is nothing new.  In fact, we have provided this service in Buffalo, NY since the 1980’s.   First though, a little propane history.

What is propane?

Propane is a hydrocarbon and is at times referred to as liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).  Propane is produced by crude oil refining and natural gas processing.  Over 95% of propane used in the US is produced in North America.  It is colorless and non-toxic.  As with natural gas, an identifying odor that smells like rotten eggs is added so the gas can be detected by smell.

Who uses propane gas?

Propane is used by over 12.6 million U.S. households for heating and by millions more for agricultural crop drying, commercial fork-lifts, industrial temp-heat construction sites, and Autogas for transportation fleets.

What can propane fuel in your home?

Propane is a clean, versatile fuel that is frequently found in homes for home heat, water heating, cooking, fireplaces, and clothes drying.  Outdoors, propane can heat swimming pools and hot tubs.

Why Residential Propane from Irish Propane?

Purchasing propane to heat your home from Irish Propane has many benefits.  First of all, you will always get a Fair and Honest price from us.  Gone are the days of worrying about price haggling from one season to the next.  With us, you will feel better knowing that you’re always guaranteed the best price for propane.   Second, Service.   Buying your residential propane from an experienced, locally-owned, fourth generation family business benefits you because our service is round the clock 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  When you call us for service, you will talk to an experienced manager or owner of the company that cares about the safety of your family.  You will have Peace Of Mind as a result.

What assurances do I have about properly trained technicians?

Propane is used safely by millions of Americans and stored, handled, and transported by thousands of well trained professionals every day.  That safety comes from stringent codes, regulations and by the propane industry’s extensive training and safety awareness programs.  The Propane Education & Research Council (PERC) and the National Propane Gas Association (NPGA) operate the Certified Employee Training Program (CETP) through which propane technicians train and get certified in all aspects of delivering propane, installing and servicing propane equipment.  We update and conduct our training programs frequently to ensure that our technicians are equipped with the most current safety procedures and information available in the industry.

Below is great information about Dry Ice Blasting from http://wickensdryiceblasting.com/process/

Explanation of Dry Ice Blasting

Dry Ice or CO 2 Blasting is a relatively new cleaning process using solid CO2 pellets (known as dry ice). Dry Ice Pellets sublimate once they’ve hit the surface to be cleaned (convert directly from a solid blast pellet to a vapor) leaving a clean, dry surface with no residue.

How Does The Dry Ice Blast Cleaning Process Work?

To use dry ice, the proper dry ice blasting equipment and dry ice blasting machines must be used.  The Dry Ice Blasting process uses pellets made through a process of taking Liquid Carbon Dioxide (CO2) and expanding it to produce a snow like substance, that is compressed to make hard Dry Ice Pellets.

Dry Ice Pellets are then propelled at a supersonic speed by a compressed air gun (similar to other blasting systems). Upon impact, the dry ice creates a micro-thermal shock (caused by the extreme cold temperature of -79º C) which breaks the bond between the coating and the substrate. The high pressure air stream removes the dirt from the surface, while the Dry Ice Pellets vapourize (sublimate) before your eyes.

5 Reasons to use Dry Ice Cleaning

Reason #1: Increases uptime through in-place cleaning

The process is fast, thorough, and can be performed on-line without disassembly and without need for drying time.

Reason #2: Cleans without damaging the substrate
Dry ice blasting is non-abrasive. It quickly removes most contaminates without damage to switches, panels, lines, tubes, wiring or belts.

Reason #3: Reduces or eliminates the need for hazardous solvents
Dry Ice Blasting replaces chemical or solvent based cleaning and manual scraping.

Reason #4: Quicker and more thorough than cleaning by hand
Get a more detailed and quicker clean with CO2 by getting into tight spaced areas inaccessible by hand

Reason #5: Safe around electrical components
This versatile process cleans heavy industrial build up without damage to sensitive areas like electrical components, switches, wiring, photo electric sensors, etc

Dry Ice Blast Cleaning Comparison Chart

The Dry Ice Blasting process is superior to blasting with sand, glass beads and other types of cleaning methods for numerous reasons. As an Eco-friendly cleaning alternative, the dry ice cleaning method is quickly becoming favored for environmental as well as production reasons. Due to the nature of the Dry Ice Blasting process, there is no waste to be disposed of. Tremendous performance gains of little to no production downtime, quality of the clean, no clean-up, and minimized damage to equipment make Dry Ice Blasting a cost-effective cleaning option.

Support Local Family Business

Locally owned family businesses have been and continue to be the backbone of the American economy.  Why?  According to a report by sustainableconnections.org you are supporting yourself when you buy local.  Several studies have shown that buying from locally owned businesses means significantly more of your money is used to make purchases from other local businesses and service providers.

Reasons For Buying From Locally Owned Family Businesses

Reduction Of The Impact On The Environment

Another point made in the report is the impact on the environment.  Locally owned businesses can make more local purchases requiring less transportation and they generally set up their business in city centers as opposed to developing elsewhere.  This means contributing less to sprawl, congestion, habitat loss, and pollution.

Small Business Creates More Good Jobs

Locally owned family businesses are the largest employer nationally, and in the community, provide the most jobs to residents.  Irish Companies employ over 60 local people.

Locally Owned Family Businesses Mean Better Service For You

Local businesses often hire people with a better understanding of the products they are selling and take more time to get to know their customers.

Irish Carbonic and Irish Propane have been a mainstay in this area for over 84 years.  Our commitment to you is what helps us succeed. We are there for our customers whenever they need help.  From our well trained service techs, to our service manager, our owners, our employees, and our after hour emergency telephone number, there are many different ways to get help when there is a problem.   So if you want to help local business thrive, buy from locally owned family businesses.  Your own business will thrive as a result.

Taste Of East Aurora

Taste of East Aurora is a charming neighborhood café located in the heart of East Aurora.  It is where you will find our newest installation, a three head, cold brewed, nitro infused coffee system.

But to say Taste is only a coffeehouse is like saying Coca-Cola Field only has peanuts.  There is so much more to this cute place.

Taste is also a music café.  The exposed ceiling inside has at least four speakers mounted playing music.  At the time of my weekday visit at 9 am, the easy groove heard was a nice, subtle vibe to the customers who may have been up for a while, or just waking up and strolling over for their cup of joe.  Taste also has a long table towards the front of the store where anyone can buy a CD, presumably from some on the musicians that Taste play over their music system.

Taste is set up cafeteria style where you walk in from the left and place your order from the many options on the colorful blackboards behind the counter, then walk single file to the right of the counter and wait for your order to be completed.  Some items may take a while to prepare since everything is made fresh, so people can sit any one of the numerous long wooden tables if you’re in a group, or a two-top table if your alone, or perhaps at the front of the store where you can sit and read the morning paper that Taste provides while people watching thru the big picture window as East Aurora residents go about their daily lives in this quaint village.

Some of the breakfast items listed on the blackboard include a “Sunrise Benedict”, and a “Bandito Burrito”  All breakfast items that I can see range from $5-9.

Not a breakfast person?  Taste also serves up lunch with blackboard items that include the “Millard Fill-Me-More”, paying tribute to the 13th U.S. President who once called East Aurora home.  All lunch sandwiches come with a side salad and cost $9.95 across the board.  Some of the soup offerings that are available this day at Taste include Nutty Albacore, Hubbard In The Cupboard, and a Soup of the Day.

Taste is also promoting its Lobsterfest which runs May-September and include lobster rolls, cakes, and grilled cheese.

In addition to the nitro infused cold brew that Irish Carbonic installed, beverages of all sorts including lattes, espresso, tea, and frozen drinks are available to enjoy.

Live music on Fridays and Saturday’s in the month of July are listed on a (you guessed it)  blackboard near the entrance.  You can also enjoy a nice day at Taste outside on any one of their sidewalk table with umbrellas.  WiFi is offered free.

Taste Of East Aurora is located at 634 Main St at the corner of Riley.  Hours of operation are 7a-10p M-TH, 7a-11p Friday, 8a-11p Saturday and 8a-8p Sunday.

You should check them out.  #coffeeandgoodstuff

Birthday Dinner At The Left Bank

Honey and I went to The Left Bank Restaurant last Saturday to celebrate my **th birthday.  Because of the high quality of food that is served and from past experience, we knew we had to make a reservation well in advance because trying to make a last minute reservation here will most likely result in a very early or late dinner time.

Honey and I arrived as planned at 6 pm for our 7:00 reservation.  We found two empty bar stools at the end of the bar closest to the kitchen.  The staff at The Left Bank are very well trained and friendly.  The hostess assured us to take our time and our table will be waiting for us when we are finished with our cocktails.  The bar area crowd went in waves; it was packed, then the crowd thinned out, then was packed again in the span of one hour.

Finishing our drinks at the bar around 7:15 we decided we had better go to our table because there seemed to be a large walk in dinner crowd.  Honey and I had a pretty good idea what we were going to dine on because the last time I was at The Left Bank with my Dad, I had the best strip steak I have ever had at a restaurant.

Once we were seated at our table in the packed but not overcrowded dining room, our friendly and professional waitress came over to inform us of the nightly dinner specials, sure enough the strip steak was included as a Saturday night special.

I usually order our meals together at once because Honey and I have the same tastes so ordering for the both of us is usually very simple.  Honey started with the tomato, mozzarella, fried artichoke appetizer and I had a cream based pork soup.  We took turns sampling each others appetizers and needless to say, they were both excellent.  (I still say mine was better).

Next came our salads.  Honey chowed down on an excellent Caesar salad and I had a dark green leaf lettuce salad loaded with veggies.  I kept part of my salad to enjoy and finish with my supper.

Sipping on a celebratory birthday bottle of Bordeaux in between courses, the moment arrived when our server plunked down our gorgeous dinner plates in front of us.  The 14 oz. strip cooked to perfection (rare) was with a dark red demi glace (a little too much), crispy (maybe deep fried) cheesy potato balls with bacon inside and oiled green beans and carrots.

The dinner was fantastic.  Not as great as the time I was with my Dad, but fabulous nonetheless.  Because the portions are large at The Left Bank meant there was no room for dessert, even though I still perused the menu.

Honey and I try to make it to The Left Bank at least once a year for a special occasion because we never have left disappointed. The Left Bank is truly one of Buffalo’s longstanding excellent restaurants and one of Honey’s and mine all time favorites.  Thank you Left Bank for being the feather in our cap on a great birthday celebration.

And more important, thank you for being an excellent customer of ours!

Irish Residential Propane- Fair and Honest Pricing Part 2

The calendar may say Spring and with the cold weather season behind us, the last thing a residential propane customer wants to do is research prices for the upcoming winter.  It can be such a hassle to do all the research to find the best price available and signup with a new company only to find out days later that some other company is offering a lower price.

It’s called the old “bait and switch” tactic.  But that is only the first part of the hassle.   Some propane companies out there use the cable company tactic where there is a low price promotional period to get you to switch companies only to raise their price substantially year after year.  Scheduling a time to have the old company uninstall their tank then having to schedule a time for the installation of the new tank- talk about hassle!   Why are you having to think about this year after year?  Don’t you want to take all the guesswork out of this to relax and enjoy yourself?

There is a hassle-free solution called Fair and Honest pricing from Irish Propane.

What does Fair and Honest pricing mean to you, the consumer?  We realize it can be such a hassle to have to think about this so we guarantee you will get our best price available year after year.  No more price shock each month and no more having to do endless research and no more price shopping.  We want the privilege of having you as a customer for life and in return our pledge to you will be that you will get our best price available- every year!  Sound good?  Want more?

With your Fair and Honest pricing comes a Personal Service Guarantee.  Our knowledgeable and courteous office staff, Anita and Mike will answer our office phone every business day to answer any question or address any issue you may have with your propane account.  No getting bounced around to call centers and absolutely no automated call attendants.  It will be like calling up your trusted best buddy for help.

We are so sure of our Fair and Honest pricing that we are willing to put our money where our mouth is in our Referral Program.  Celebrate your hassle-free Fair and Honest price with all your neighbors and for every neighbor that signs a new residential account with Irish Propane will mean $125 to you and $125 to your neighbor- it’s that easy!

Combine all of this with Irish Propane’s superior service 24/7/365 and what you now have is a hassle free, Fair and Honest solution.  So call today so you can sit and relax tomorrow!
